My Story
My name is Tyrese Alleyne-Davis, and I’m the creator of Game on Wheels, a digital sports media blog platform based in Brooklyn, New York. Being a resident of Brooklyn fills me with great pride. Living in a borough where culture and self-expression pour out of every corner, and art within the borough is the epitome of out-of-the-box, being a Brooklynite demands a certain grit to navigate life’s obstacles. Growing up in a sports-filled household allowed me to be exposed to a plethora of sports at any given time. However, living with cerebral palsy has compromised the left side of my body and both legs, resulting in me being fully wheelchair-bound. Despite being unable to participate in sports like many of my ambulatory friends, I never viewed obstacles in my life as misfortunes. Having a disability provided me with a unique perspective on how I interact with the sports world. Fueled by a burning passion to share and tell stories, and armed with a creative writing degree from New York University, my goal for Game on Wheels is to integrate myself into my local sports community within the five boroughs and internationally. I hope to build a future as a global sports media reporter. With aspirations of entering the sports reporting career field, Game on Wheels, the sports blog, will allow me to share a piece of my vision and myself with the sports world, fostering a community of new, exciting, and like-minded sports fanatics all across the globe.
